A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party service that supplies that result experience. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, we receive the contents of your message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting systems may create standard logs such as an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We use aggregated information to operate and improve the service. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and, where used, advertising measurement.
How Technical Data Is Used
That limited information helps run the service, diagnose issues, measure traffic, and improve the reference material. We do not sell lists of visitors or construct individual visitor profiles.
Outside Services and Links
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. Their own terms and privacy notices control information provided on those services. This includes the separately provided sponsored search results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process technical logs for the service. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information when valid legal process requires disclosure, and otherwise do not share it outside those operational purposes.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and technical logs are retained only for as long as the operational purposes described above require. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or resident profiles maintained here.
Visitors Under 18
This service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, contact us so it can be deleted.
Your Privacy Choices
Where it applies, Minnesota’s Consumer Data Privacy Act, Minn. Stat. §§325M.10-.21, recognizes rights to confirm, access, correct, delete, and obtain personal data held by a covered controller, as well as specified opt-out rights. Because this service keeps very little, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and relevant logs. Use the Contact page to submit one. The chapter does not remove an independent public-record copy held by a Minnesota state, county, or city custodian; direct those requests to that office.
